On Self-Reliance Part II
Self Reliance, as I've learned, is reliance on one's own powers and resources rather than those of others.
Emerson's essay so far explores the idea of finding out who you are (you as in everyone) and focusing on it.
"The power resides in him is new in nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried."
"It is a deliverance which does not deliver"

- when we put our heart and soul into our work (our everything) we feel our best
- Emerson dives into the idea of how the youth is nonchalant
- children, babies, and brutes don't have a care, they don't necessarily have a filter leading them to express themselves aloud
- the views and opinions of us from other people aren't exactly secret, we know people think of us in different ways and that creates a barrier between our sincere thoughts and what we really say out loud
- to those who don't express themselves through our voices.. it will become useless, faint and/or inaudible
- current society has created the fear of being judged because of what we think, this leading to less voices being heard and the world being wrapped up in silence
