Syllogism: simplest form of logical argument.
- a syllogism is composed of two premises and a conclusion
- "therefore" is a key clue that the conclusion is coming up
- evaluate them to see if they're true and to see if they're valid
- TRUE: factually verifiable in the world
- VALIDITY: "do the premises support the conclusion?"
EX: Currently, Australia is battling the worst wildfire's in history. Queensland is in Australia, therefore, Queensland is battling a wildfire.
-TRUE: Queensland is in Australia and Australia is battling a horrible wildfire
BUT
-VALIDITY: Just because Queensland is in Australia doesn't mean it is dealing with a wildfire.
