Dark Patterns
As I read further I start acknowledging that Dark Patterns are really just tactics to get the viewers and buyers to spend more money. Online stores have progressed so much over the years, and so have their tricks. I myself don't spend much time online shopping (although I do spend it browsing through stores) but I have seen a few of those phrases. Especially Get it NOW! Only 2 left in stock! Now I realize that the way the stores capitalize and color code the words makes it harder for people to ignore it, and the message seems super urgent that the people feel like they don't have much time before the product is gone. Dark Patterns encourages and persuades so many people to spend, spend, and spend before the deal is off and it's too late - but in the end, you're really still spending so much.
