Journal [April 21]
Appreciating what our hands can do.
Something wonderful I can do with my hands is write/type. That seems basic but what I mean is that I'm able to express a lot of my thoughts and feelings into words and it helps a lot. I was never the best at verbally expressing myself, fearing judgement or anger towards me, so I coped by writing things down. I've had many people tell me that my writing is "beautiful" and "so lovely it makes me want to cry," I've even had a "I want this to be engraved on my tombstone when I die." That comment was quite entertaining to read. I appreciate everyone who has said anything about my writing or the way I'm able to manipulate words, but the truth is that they're really just my thoughts. I adore writing so much and the fact that I've learned how to improve and make things even better makes me feel unstoppable. I'd like to say that sometimes my writing does surprise me, in a sense that "Wow, I didn't know I could write like that." It makes me appreciate this "talent" a lot more now, and I love sharing it with my friends or even online where I can be able to make a difference and inspire people.
