Online meeting notes
This week's online meeting notes! Brought to you by the April 21st Live.
- Talked about how we're all going through different situations but still trying to salvage some type of education left to teach
- Brainstormed about our Big Questions and figured out what we would do regarding the concept and how we would manage to express them (?)
- Wanting to continue something that is apparently meaningful to us
- Talked about our schedule and how we would handle meetings, but since our teacher always uploads a recording of the live then we have nothing to worry about
Book Notes:
- Recap: Montag lands upon a campfire with some older and wiser men
- Called "The Wanderers"
- "They're kind of like the old souls of the society."
- They're the keepers of the history of the ideas, the thinking, the philosophy
- They're knowledgeable and they're kind of exactly what Montag perseveres to be (funny how he just somehow manages to find what he's looking for, in a way)
- Told Montag to keep his knowledge, not on a book shelf in books, but rather in his head
- They've memorized a lot of philosophical works
- There's an allusion "All wrapped up in it's own coat of a thousand colors" referring to the Bible (Joseph)
- The constant talk of "hands"
- "What's interesting about people is...all of us have volumes, libraries of information inside of us..."
