Journal [May 12]
Dr. Preston assigned us to choose a topic for a journal of our own.
I don't have much thinking to do so I decided to search-up a topic to write about...here's the result.
Topic/question: Describe Sundays at your house.
Sundays at my house are 100% lazy days. It's the only day of the week that my Dad doesn't have work and the day when my Mom gets very few cake orders. We usually try and have family time, but sometimes that just results in us being lazy around the couch and watching a movie. My Mom doesn't cook anything on that day and we just end up ordering take-out or something and try and enjoy some quality time. It's hard because most of us want to do our own things since it's one of our only free days, but we always try and make it work. Some days, when my family is feeling a little less lazy, we fire up the grill outside and my Dad cooks some Carne Asada and that's how we spend our evening. Then, for dessert, my mom will quickly make a cake or some sort of pastry and we'll just enjoy our time and have some quality talks for the rest of the night. It's also a day where we try to mentally prepare ourselves for the following day -- Monday (bleh) -- and organize or plan out any future events.
